This was the 2nd album (2003) from New York based DJ, producer, multi-instrumentalist & bandleader; Mr Asian Massive stylee Karsh Kale. Somewhat different from his ground-breaking first release in 2001 Realize, primarily due to the spare use of vocals here compared with the singer/songwriting talents of Siddiqui Shah & Gigi employed on that album. And whilst the previous album may have been a touch more organic in approach, here he is more ambitious; even using the Madras Chamber Orchestra on half of the tracks.

Now somewhat off the topic, but related to the previous post I present this electro album here as Bill Laswell is connected, playing bass on track 4 & for Laswell aficionado's you will recognise the beautiful violin of Lily Hayden (trk 7).

Plenty of drum n bass beats, tabla, strings, weaving of Indian vocals & programming all blended together to make a reasonably satisfying album. Although I feel there is nothing really ground-breaking on this release (it would certainly have been if released 5 yrs earlier) it should be a welcome addition to those into beat based music or those into the current wave of 'Asian' music & its culture.
